Goal Setting

It's often the same this time of year, once Christmas is done we start to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the new one. For the first part of 2023 I was still having check ups and scans and getting things double checked which is scary and tried to focus on recovery. I have started 2024 feeling run down and exhausted, as you can imagine feeling ill once you've had cancer raises all sorts of questions and makes me anxious. Hopefully I'll be on the mend soon.

I'm not really one for a long list of resolutions but one thing I want to prioritize is my health and fitness and get into a routine with exercise, hopefully to encourage me to stick to it. I also want to try and enjoy a new hobby I know it sounds a bit cliche but I think having something to focus on helps keep your mind healthy, not sure what it'll be yet.

I tried this last year but I want to do more of it this year, shop pre-loved and shop better and try to wear the clothes I've already got. Once you've decluttered your wardrobe the last thing you want to do is fill it back up with unnecessary purchases.

More interior decorating is on the cards for 2024 as we've just had some walls replastered due to rising damp so they need painting. I'm planning on a total declutter too, I think the aftermath of Christmas puts you in the mood to have a sort out. If like me you get overwhelmed by decluttering a whole room then break it down into manageable chunks, a kitchen drawer or your make up bag. Done consistently and it soon adds up!

A few goals there to loosely stick to without too much pressure.
